A. The simple way is this:
Give them your auto join affiliate link from the Manage > Links page to sign up. Give them your custom affiliate login link from the Manage > Links page.
B. A better way is this:
a. Create a free membership... you might call it "affiliate membership"
or something like that. In the custom fields step add all the important
fields you would want to have for an affiliate like Name, email,
business name, checks payable to name, address, phone number etc.
b. When creating the membership check the option to auto join members to
your affiliate program.
c. Customize the membership thank you email receipt (on the pricing and
delivery step) to include the affiliate's user name and password but
instead of including the login url tag point them to your custom
affiliate login link (found on the Manage> Links page) or point them to
your website where you link to the custom affiliate login page using
your custom link for that from the Manage> Links page (its found at the
bottom of that page).
d. When creating the membership on the Email sync step set up the email
sync to add your 'affiliates' (members who join your affiliate
membership) to whatever third party email service you are using which we
are integrated with. Optionally you could export people after they join
the membership and whatever you want with that data.
e. Create> Buttons, forms and links - generate a form for that
membership and embed it on a page on your site so your affiliates can
register.
e. For those affiliates who join without using the membership form (ie.
affiliates from our network who might browse our network and apply to
your affiliate program) you might use the affiliate center page html
customization box options found in profile and preferences to add an
optin form to your promotions page in the affiliate center so that
people can choose to optin for updates who did not join via the
membership method.

To clarify and reiterate a couple things:
1. Provide your affiliates the custom affiliate login link once they have joined. You can obtain this link from the Manage > Links page in your left menu. It is the last link on that page.
2. If you use the simple method listed in option A. above then you would have your affiliates join your affiliate program by using your auto join affiliate link. That link is found just above your custom affiliate login link (which I just explained above) on the Manage > Links page found in the left menu.
3. If you choose not to use the simple method listed in option A. but instead choose to use the recommended method I outline in option B. and create a membership that your affiliate join and are then auto joined to your affiliate program then just remember to check the option in your membership to auto join affiliates (even if its a free memberhship) and customize the thank you page receipt for that free membership by removing the membership login tag and replacing it with your custom affiliate login link and telling your affiliates to login using your custom affiliate login link to get their promo links and check stats etc.
You can also customize that email receipt for a membership (if you are using method B.) with affiliate links for your various offers. To do this you would first need to know the ID number of your offers. The easiest way to figure that out is to login through your custom affiliate login link using your nanacast login details and grab your own affiliate links for your offers. Then just replace the affiliate ID in them with the affiliate ID tag available for customizing access email receipts.

You can then grab multiple affiliate links for multiple of your products and add them to any thank you email where the person has been auto joined as an affiliate using this technique.

Finally for any paid membership you can use the tags available for personalizing and customizing any content page to automatically include affiliate urls right in your content pages just as you can on thank you pages and email receipts.
